How to install the firmware on HTC sensation XE

When the firmware update is promted infront the screen like software update is available then
just click OK and it will install and reboot automatically.

1. Otherwise if software updates not available automatically just download from the firmware link
and save it to the hard disk of the PC.

2.Then connect your phone with PC using micro USB conenctor and copy the firmware update file into
 your mobile root directory of the card. that is /mnt/sdcard/

3.Now switch off your mobile and reboot with recovery mode. To start with recovery mode you have to follow the below

  steps:

a. Hold volume down key and power button simultaneouly.

b. While holding this menu option will apear in screen in that screen you to select the
  "Boot loader" option by pressing power button and then again select the "recovery" option
  from boot loader menu

4.In this recovery mode we are going to take the backup of your working ROM by select the option like "backup and restore"

5. Then select the "wipe data or factory reset" option to choose the "wipe cache partition" which will clear the all the cached files   from your phone.

6.Then select the "install zip from sd card" then choose the zip from sd card option. Finally select the location
of android 4.0.3 ics verion of ROM from your phone  it will start download to the phone. and be patient until the download
complete once the download is over then the phone will restart by itself.

7.if mobile restart has not happening automatically the press Go back button and choose "Reboot system now"

8. If everything goes well finally go to phone’s Settings > About Phone the check your handset’s firmware version.
